Karl-Ludwig Besser received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany in 2018 and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany in 2022.
In August 2018, he joined the Communications Theory group at TU Dresden. From August 2019 to February 2023, he was with the Institute for Communications Technology at Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany. From March 2023 to December 2024, he was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University as a postdoctoral research fellow. Since January 2025, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Linköping University, Sweden.
His research interests include ultra-reliable communications, resilience of communication systems, copulas, physical layer security, and the application of machine learning in communications.
