Ahmad Nimr received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from TU Dresden, Germany, in 2021, and his M.Sc. in Communications and Signal Processing from TU Ilmenau, Germany, in 2014. From 2005 to 2011, he worked in software and hardware development. Since then, he has been actively involved in research, co-authoring several book chapters and papers, and co-organizing and presenting at several workshops. In 2020, he began leading a research group at the Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications Systems, TU Dresden. His research focuses on holistic radio design and signal processing techniques for communications and sensing, spanning from theory to implementation. He is also a founding member of the IEEE ComSoc ETI on Integrated Sensing and Communications. In addition, he has contributed to several EU and German-funded projects, including the German 6G flagship project 6G-ANNA, and leads a work package on radio innovations in the European flagship projects Hexa-X and Hexa-X II.
