News: The TPC of the WSA is opening 3 new calls
In addition to the original call for regular full-paper submissions (6 pages), the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of WSA 2025 is pleased to announce three additional calls:
1. Call for Short Papers on Recent Research Results
The WSA 2025 is opening the Call for Papers on short papers presenting recent research results. This track is designed to provide researchers with an opportunity to disseminate new findings that have emerged since the regular paper deadline and that contribute significantly to the scientific discourse within the scope of the conference.
- Submission Period: June 4 – July 14, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: July 28, 2025
- Camera-Ready Deadline: August 17, 2025
Submissions (pdf via EDAS) may take the form of either
- an extended abstract (2 pages), including key results, or
- a full short paper (4 pages)
All submissions must be aligned with one of the official WSA 2025 tracks. Upon acceptance, authors of extended abstracts will be required to submit a final version as a full 4-page short paper. Accepted short papers will be published in the official conference proceedings and made available through IEEE Xplore®.
2. Call for Posters on Recent Research Results
The WSA 2025 Technical Program Committee invites submissions to the Call for posters on recent research results. This call is particularly aimed at PhD students and encourages the dissemination of early-stage research ideas, emerging concepts, and preliminary results that are not yet fully developed for short paper submission or are intended for future publication elsewhere.
- Submission Period: June 4 – August 11, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: August 17, 2025
Submission is
- a one-page abstract (DIN A4, font size 11, 250 to max. 300 words)
- You need to bring a poster (DIN A0) for the conference
All submissions must be aligned with one of the official WSA 2025 tracks. The design of the poster can be chosen freely/individually for submission. Only the size (DIN A0) is mandatory. No template is provided for the one-page abstract either. The abstract (DIN A4) must contain 250 to a maximum of 300 words in addition to the title and author details and needs to be uploaded as pdf in EDAS. Upon acceptance, a poster template with a uniform WSA frame will be provided by the TPC. Please note that accepted posters will not be published or included in IEEE Xplore®, allowing authors to preserve future publication rights.
3. Call for Presentations of Related Published Scientific Work
As part of the expanded submission opportunities for WSA 2025, the TPC invites submissions for presentations of previously published scientific work.
- Submission Period: June 4 – August 11, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: August 17, 2025
Submissions (pdf via EDAS) should include the following elements:
- A title (which may differ from the original published version)
- Assignment to one of the WSA tracks
- A brief explanation of the contribution’s relevance to WSA and the chosen track
- A link or DOI to the published paper or arXiv submission
- A PDF version of the author’s manuscript (in case, the work will be published soon and is not yet available online)
Submissions must align thematically with one of the WSA conference tracks and will be evaluated accordingly. This call specifically targets presentations of papers that have already been peer-reviewed and published or are about to be published soon, offering an opportunity for authors to share and discuss their findings with the WSA community. Please note that contributions submitted under this cal
These complementary Calls aim to broaden the range of contributions and foster the timely exchange of emerging ideas and ongoing research within the WSA community. Further details regarding each call, including submission formats, deadlines, and review processes, are available below.
We invite you to submit your short papers and posters containing your latest scientific results!

General information about submission
You are cordially invited to submit full-length papers limited to a maximum of 6 pages in A4 format, using a 10-point font size. Accepted papers may include one additional page in the final camera-ready version, extending the limit to 7 pages with 10-point font size in A4 format (two-column IEEE conference format). LaTeX users should ensure to use IEEEtran style in conference and comsoc mode. Please refer to the IEEE Manuscript Template for Conference Proceedings guidelines when formatting the submission. The final manuscript must be certified by IEEE PDF eXpress.
Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and we will take action against any author who engages in either practice. For more information, please refer to the IEEE Policy on Plagiarism and the IEEE Policy on Double Submission.
All papers must be submitted as PDF file via EDAS. The submissions are peer-reviewed, and the proceedings will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The workshop will comprise both oral and poster presentations.
Submission implies that at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in person. We reserve the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
Instructions for Final Manuscript Submission
Please make sure to complete all the steps for the final manuscript submission before the deadline of August 1, 2025.
No paper will be published without the submitted IEEE Copyright Form or registration to the conference.
For your convenience, the copyright form is made available digitally through EDAS. To access the IEEE eCopyright Form, click the “Add” icon in the “Copyright” row within your paper record. Please use the booking number from Eventbrite as registration code in EDAS and specify who will be presenting the paper in the “Presented by” row. Click that “Add” icon and select the presenter.
The final manuscript of your paper should account for all the critical reviewers’ feedback.
